Finally: Some GOOD (important) News Category: Real Estate Agent, Renew Refinance, Good News – LAWYER E-Signings Some lenders are allowing conveyancing through video conferencing or remote signing. Wooo!! Not all lenders allow this yet. So far, it’s just (that I know of): Scotia, First National, Home Trust, RBC, RMG, MCAP.TD is a hard no so far… Not all lawyers can do this. Tony Spagnuolo, owner of Spagnuolo and Company, which has 18 offices across the lower mainland, is currently handling the remote singing himself. So far, one of my clients is working with him on this and I’m sure more of his lawyers will be shortly. Process: Clients should print their documents, meet with Tony or one of his lawyers on Zoom, sign in front of the screen, and then return the documents to Tony’s office (scan and email, or drop off to their Coquitlam office). I’m sure more lawyers will be implementing this practice going forward.
